Janmashtami Celebrated with Devotion and Spiritual Fervour at Brahma Kumaris Centre in Gumla

Janmashtami was celebrated with devotion, spiritual enthusiasm and gaiety at the Shiv Darshan Bhawan of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya in Gumla.

The celebration featured an attractive tableau depicting Lord Krishna, colourful decorations, devotional songs and cultural performances by children and youngsters. The presentations added a vibrant devotional atmosphere to the event and drew appreciation from those attending the programme.

Addressing the gathering, Rajyogini Shanti Didi said the life of Lord Krishna should not be viewed merely as a subject of religious celebration, but as a source of inspiration for cultivating purity, love, truthfulness, noble values and inner strength.

She said the practice of Rajyoga taught by the Brahma Kumaris encourages individuals to understand their true spiritual identity, develop positive thoughts and incorporate divine virtues into their daily lives. When people improve their thoughts and actions, she said, it also contributes to creating an atmosphere of peace and happiness within families and society.

The chief guest, retired District and Sessions Judge Om Prakash Pandey, praised the initiative and said programmes based on India's cultural and spiritual traditions play an important role in strengthening values and keeping the younger generation connected with the country's rich heritage.

Businessmen Pawan Agrawal and Sanjay Agrawal were among the prominent guests present at the celebration.

Brahma Kumari Mamta, Suchita, Kusum, Mangal Bhai, Gulab Bhai, Amit Bhai and Krishna Bhai, along with a large number of members of the Brahma Kumaris community, participated in the programme.

The cultural performances by the children were one of the highlights of the celebration, while the beautifully decorated Krishna tableau captivated the audience. The event concluded with an atmosphere of devotion and a message encouraging participants to embrace positive values and spiritual consciousness in their everyday lives.
