Pradeep Kumar Srivastava takes oath as Judge of Jharkhand High Court

Ranchi: Pradeep Kumar Srivastava senior officer of Jharkhand Judicial Service and PDJ of Bokaro took oath as a judge of the Jharkhand High Court on Tuesday. Chief Justice Dr. Ravi Ranjan administered the oath of office and secrecy to Pradeep Srivastava at a function held in the Whyte Hall of the High Court. 

After taking the oath of Justice Srivastava, the number of judges in the Jharkhand High Court has increased to 21 at present. 25 posts of judges are sanctioned in the Jharkhand High Court. Before the oaty taking Registrar General of the High Court, Mohammad Shakir read out the appointment warrant issued by President Ram Nath Kovind in English and Hindi. He also read out the copy of the notification regarding the appointment. 

The number of judges in the Jharkhand High Court has gone up to 21 at present but here are still four vacant posts in the High Court. 

On the occasion of the swearing-in of Pradeep Kumar Srivastava as the new judge of the High Court, Senior Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh of the Jharkhand High Court, Justice S Chandrashekhar, Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad and other High Court judges, retired judges, relatives of the judges, Advocate General Rajiv Ranjan, Jharkhand State Bar Council President Rajendra Krishna and other council members, state government officials, senior advocates, advocates and dignitaries were present.
