Gumla: A couple of people lost their lives while two others were seriously injured as a motorcycle on which they were travelling was hit by a speeding truck near Toto on the Gumla-Ghaghra road of this district.
The deceased and the injured were all travelling on one bike. Upon receiving information a police team reached on the spot and sent the body for post-mortem while the injured were admitted at Sadar Hospital.
The deceased have been identified as Suna Oraon (30) and Kamla Kumari (26) while the injured were Priti and Soni. Police said that the girls and the youth were brothers and sisters and were travelling on one bike towards Basuwa Patratoli when the bike was hit by a speeding truck from behind.
Suna Oraon and his sister Kamla were killed on the spot. Post the incident the truck driver managed to flee from the spot with his vehicle.
