BB 20: Rhiti Tiwari says father Manoj Tiwari was proud of her transformation after eviction

Actress and reality show contestant Rhiti Tiwari has opened up about her Bigg Boss 20 journey, including the controversies that marked her stint on the show, and revealed how her father, actor-politician Manoj Tiwari, reacted after watching her performance.

Speaking to IANS after her eviction, Rhiti said her father was proud of the personal transformation he witnessed in her during her time inside the Bigg Boss house.

“I talked to him, and his reaction was just like any father's reaction. He said, ‘I am proud of you. You brought out such a transformation in yourself, which was probably inside you for a long time,’” she recalled.

According to Rhiti, Manoj Tiwari also felt that she had made the most of the opportunity and done what she wanted to do during her time on the show. The experience, she said, also gave her a clearer understanding of her strengths as well as areas where she needed to improve.

“He also felt that I had gone there and done whatever I wanted in that house. I think every person has certain things they want to change or areas where they can do better. Going there, I realised what I can do better and what I don't want inside me,” she said.

Rhiti said her mother’s advice has also helped her reflect on her behaviour and emotions.

“My mom has always told me, ‘Don't let your emotions control your mind.’ Whatever happened to me in this house, I went there with certain shortcomings, and I will change. I will improve,” she said, adding, “I think I will be able to show that now.”

Her journey on Bigg Boss 20 was not without controversy. Rhiti became involved in a major confrontation during a diss task after her comments and language towards fellow contestants Qazi Touqeer and Uditi Singh drew criticism inside the house.

Qazi subsequently took a strong stand in support of Uditi and confronted Rhiti over her conduct. The episode also attracted the attention of host Salman Khan, who reprimanded Rhiti and told her that her behaviour during the task had crossed a line.

The incident was particularly significant for Rhiti because her father, Manoj Tiwari, is also a former Bigg Boss contestant. During the conversation, his comparatively calm conduct during his own stint on the show was brought up in the context of Rhiti’s more confrontational moments.

Rather than viewing the controversies as the defining part of her stint, Rhiti now sees her time on Bigg Boss as an opportunity for introspection. She acknowledged that she entered the house with certain shortcomings and said the experience helped her identify aspects of her personality that she wants to work on.

For Rhiti, the eviction has therefore marked less of an end to the experience and more of a transition into a period of self-improvement, as she looks to carry the lessons from the reality show into her life and career.
