Aamrapali Dubey breaks silence on her relationship with Nirahua: ‘No-filter friendship’

Bhojpuri actress Aamrapali Dubey has addressed long-running speculation about her relationship with actor and co-star Dinesh Lal Yadav, popularly known as Nirahua, describing their equation as one of deep friendship rather than romance.

During a conversation with fellow ‘Bigg Boss 20’ contestant Luv Gill, Aamrapali spoke about her bond with Dinesh and explained why their close friendship often leads people to believe that the two are dating.

Recalling their early days together in the Bhojpuri film industry, Aamrapali said Dinesh has remained one of her closest friends and that they share an understanding that often requires very few words.

She described their relationship as a “no-filter friendship”, saying she can simply look at Dinesh in a room full of people and he can understand what she wants to say.

The actress also responded to the persistent dating rumours, saying Dinesh himself often encourages her to get married.

“People think that Dinesh ji and I are dating,” she said, adding that he has repeatedly told her that she should find someone and get married.

Aamrapali said the decision to marry is not as simple as it may appear, particularly for women who may have to leave behind the life and relationships they have built over many years.

The dating speculation has followed the two actors for years, largely because of their popular on-screen pairing. Aamrapali and Nirahua first worked together in ‘Nirahua Hindustani’ in 2014, which also marked her debut in Bhojpuri cinema.

Before entering Bhojpuri films, Aamrapali had appeared in Hindi television shows including ‘Saat Phere: Saloni Ka Safar’, ‘Maayka’ and ‘Rehna Hai Teri Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein’.

The success of ‘Nirahua Hindustani’ led to several more collaborations between the actors. Their films together include ‘Patna Se Pakistan’, ‘Nirahua Rickshawala 2’, ‘Raja Babu’, ‘Nirahua Hindustani 2’, ‘Nirahua Hindustani 3’, ‘Nirahua Chalal London’ and ‘Sher Singh’.

Aamrapali has previously revealed that her entry into Bhojpuri cinema was also linked to Dinesh. She recalled during her ‘Bigg Boss 20’ stint that Dinesh was looking for a new face for ‘Nirahua Hindustani’ while he was a contestant on ‘Bigg Boss 6’.

She had earlier worked with Santosh Shukla, who was also part of that season, and said the series of events eventually led her to the Bhojpuri film. Describing how the opportunity came her way, Aamrapali called it “God's screenplay”.

Despite years of on-screen chemistry and public speculation, Aamrapali's latest comments present their relationship as a close friendship that has continued since the beginning of her Bhojpuri film career.
