Sreeleela revisits childhood Bharatanatyam performance on Janmashtami

Actress Sreeleela marked Krishna Ashtami by sharing a video of herself performing Bharatanatyam as a child, offering her followers a glimpse of her early association with classical dance.

In the video shared on social media, Sreeleela is seen performing solo in a traditional Bharatanatyam costume, adorned with elaborate jewellery and traditional makeup, with flowers decorating her hair.

"Happy Krishna Ashtami!" the actress wrote while sharing the video.

The post also highlighted Sreeleela's background as a trained Bharatanatyam dancer, a discipline she pursued before establishing herself as an actor.

Sreeleela began her acting career in Kannada cinema with "Kiss" in 2019 and later appeared in "Bharaate". She subsequently ventured into Telugu cinema with films including "Pelli SandaD", "Dhamaka", "Skanda", "Bhagavanth Kesari", "Aadikeshava", "Extra Ordinary Man" and "Guntur Kaaram".

Her performance in "Dhamaka" helped boost her popularity, while "Bhagavanth Kesari" further strengthened her presence in Telugu cinema. She later featured in Mahesh Babu-starrer "Guntur Kaaram".

Sreeleela also appeared in Allu Arjun-starrer "Pushpa 2: The Rule", where her special appearance in the song "Kissik" helped her gain wider recognition among Hindi-speaking audiences.

Alongside acting, Sreeleela has also pursued her academic interests and had continued her MBBS studies during the early phase of her film career.

She is now set to make her Bollywood debut opposite Kartik Aaryan in filmmaker Anurag Basu's upcoming romantic film. The project marks the first on-screen pairing of the two actors. Basu had said in April that the film was on track for a theatrical release later this year.

Meanwhile, reports and social media speculation have also linked Sreeleela with Kartik Aaryan, with their public appearances and interactions fuelling dating rumours. However, neither actor has publicly confirmed being in a relationship.
