Khushi Dubey Says ‘Service Girl’ Exposes the Dark Reality of AI-Driven Cybercrime Against Women

Mumbai: Actress Khushi Dubey has spoken about her role in the web series Service Girl, saying the show highlights the growing threat of AI-powered cybercrime and the devastating impact it can have on women's lives.

Speaking about her character, Khushi revealed that she plays Divya, a young woman whose life is shattered after someone uses artificial intelligence to create fake explicit content in her name, destroying her reputation and leaving her struggling to prove her innocence.

"I play the role of Divya, a simple girl who gets married at a young age. Her life changes completely when someone creates an AI-generated fake version of her. Society believes the fabricated content, and no one is willing to trust her when she says it isn't really her," she said.

The actress stressed that the issue is far from fictional, noting that similar incidents have been reported across the country. She pointed out that many young women have suffered severe emotional trauma, and some have even lost their lives after becoming victims of such cybercrimes.

Khushi said the series aims to raise awareness about this growing menace while portraying a story of resilience and justice. According to her, Divya's journey is about fighting back against the injustice and reclaiming her identity.

Sharing how she prepared for the role, the actress said her upbringing in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, helped her connect with the character. Observing women from similar backgrounds enabled her to authentically portray Divya's appearance, mannerisms and body language.

She added that the emotionally demanding role and the show's socially relevant subject made it an opportunity to deliver a meaningful performance. She expressed hope that audiences would not only enjoy the series but also connect with its important message.

The web series also features Mallobika Banerji and Nishad Vaidya in key roles. Service Girl premiered on July 30 on Hungama OTT.
