Mumbai- Actress Huma Qureshi has revealed that preparing for her role in the upcoming film Baby Do Die Do required her to completely rethink her acting process, describing it as one of the most demanding experiences of her career.
Speaking about her preparation, Huma said she had to move away from relying on dialogue delivery and instead communicate entirely through physical expression. She spent several months training with a sign language expert to authentically portray her character.
"I had to completely unlearn how I perform. As actors, we depend so much on our voice—its tone, pauses and breathing before a line. This role took all of that away. Working with a sign language expert taught me that the body never lies. When the voice is removed, every movement and expression becomes more powerful," she said.

The actress explained that her character's body language became her primary means of communication. She focused on posture, stillness and subtle eye movements to convey emotions, making them her new acting vocabulary.
"It was one of the most physically demanding preparations I've ever undertaken—not because of action sequences, but because of the discipline and restraint the role demanded," she added.
Baby Do Die Do is scheduled to hit theatres on July 3, 2026.
Earlier, Huma had shared a heartfelt tribute to her late father on social media, reflecting on the values he instilled in her and the sacrifices he made for the family. Accompanied by childhood and recent photographs, she expressed gratitude for his guidance and said she feels proud to carry forward the legacy he left behind.
