Mumbai — Singer-songwriter Sanju Rathod has released his latest track Bangles, featuring Isha Malviya, marking their reunion after the success of Shaky. The new song continues his signature Marathi pop style while adding a fresh musical twist.
Blending reggae influences with Marathi folk elements, Bangles delivers a sound that feels both contemporary and rooted. The track reflects Rathod’s vibrant style, combining catchy rhythms with a playful love story.
Talking about the song, Rathod said he wanted to create something “fun, rooted, and instantly catchy.” He added that reuniting with Isha Malviya brought back their earlier chemistry, while working with the creative duo Piyush-Shazia introduced a new layer of energy to the project.
The music video is set in an imaginative setting called “Cool Wadi,” where rustic charm meets a stylised modern world. Directed and choreographed by Piyush-Shazia, with music produced by Gaurav Rathod, the video enhances the song’s lively and cross-cultural appeal.
Rathod gained widespread recognition with his viral hit Gulabi Sadi in 2024, followed by tracks like Kali Bindi and Sundari. His music blends traditional Marathi folk with contemporary genres such as Afrobeats and indie pop. His earlier collaboration with Malviya, Shaky Shaky, was a major success, topping YouTube’s global charts and crossing 100 million views.
On the acting front, Isha Malviya rose to fame with the television show Udaariyaan and later made her film debut with Ishqa’n De Lekhe, directed by Manvir Brar and co-starring Gurnam Bhullar.
With its upbeat vibe and catchy hook, Bangles is expected to resonate with audiences and further strengthen Rathod’s position in the Marathi pop music space.
