Nargis Fakhri Says Her ‘Brain Is on High Alert’ in Dubai Amid Middle East Tensions

Mumbai: Amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, actress Nargis Fakhri shared a candid note about experiencing anxiety and sleeplessness while staying in Dubai. She described feeling unsettled by the uncertainty surrounding the unfolding situation in the region.

Posting a photo from the balcony of her hotel in Downtown Dubai on Instagram Stories, the actress opened up about the persistent unease she has been facing.

“No matter what, this feeling of anxiety & dread lingers because you just don’t know what’s going to happen next,” she wrote.

She further revealed that despite the late hour, she was unable to sleep as her mind remained on edge.

“Can’t even get to sleep. Your brain is on high alert. It’s so late and I’m wide awake,” she added.

Her post comes against the backdrop of intensifying hostilities in West Asia. According to reports, Israeli warplanes carried out heavy airstrikes in Beirut’s southern suburbs following rocket fire from Lebanese territory into Israel. The strikes reportedly targeted Dahieh, an area known as a Hezbollah stronghold, triggering panic among residents and emergency evacuations.

In a statement, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for launching rockets and drones toward Israel, describing the move as retaliation for the reported killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in joint Israeli-US strikes.

Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates urged Iran to act responsibly and avoid further escalation. UAE presidential diplomatic adviser Anwar Gargash stated that Iran’s actions had deepened its isolation at a critical juncture. Reports also indicated that UAE air defence systems intercepted Iranian missiles and drones over its territory, with falling debris injuring two people in Dubai.

On the professional front, Nargis was last seen in *Mastiii 4*, directed by Milap Zaveri. The film is the fourth installment in the *Masti* franchise and features Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivdasani.

She rose to prominence in India with the 2011 romantic drama *Rockstar* and later appeared in films such as *Madras Cafe*, *Main Tera Hero*, and *Housefull 3*. She also featured in the Hollywood action-comedy *Spy*.
