Mazel Vyas Recalls How Suniel Shetty Shielded Her During Chaotic Crowd Scene on ‘Hunter 2’ Set

Mumbai: Actress Mazel Vyas recently shared a heartfelt moment from the sets of Hunter 2, recalling how co-star Suniel Shetty stepped in to protect her during a chaotic crowd situation in Thailand.

Reflecting on the incident, Mazel said, “Suniel sir was incredibly caring. We were filming in Thailand when a huge crowd suddenly gathered around us. He literally shielded me with both arms and guided me to safety. He even offered me his water and food. He’s truly a gentleman.”

Speaking about her experience working alongside two Bollywood legends, she added, “It’s rare for an actor to share the screen with two icons like Suniel Shetty and Jackie Shroff. Every day on set felt like a masterclass. Jackie sir is an effortless charmer—completely unpredictable, but in the best way. You never know what he’ll bring to a scene, so it keeps you sharp.”

Describing her camaraderie with Jackie Shroff, Mazel said, “He was an absolute delight to work with—such a unique personality! Before emotional scenes, he would crack a joke and say, ‘Ready hai bhidu?’ That signature bhidu vibe kept the atmosphere light and fun. We also bonded over food. I’m Gujarati, and he’s part-Gujarati too, so I shared some traditional snacks with him, which he loved.”

She also praised Suniel Shetty’s presence on set: “Suniel sir brings a sense of calm, intensity, and depth to everything he does. Observing both him and Jackie sir was a huge learning curve. The biggest lesson I’ve taken from them is the value of staying grounded and continually improving your craft. No matter how experienced you are, you must remain a student.”

In Hunter 2 – Tootega Nahi Todega, Mazel plays the role of Pooja. The series, premiering July 24 on Amazon MX Player, follows ACP Vikram Sinha (played by Suniel Shetty) as he takes on the criminal underworld in a high-stakes mission to rescue his daughter.
