Global Leaders Condemn Delhi Blast, Express Solidarity with India

Singapore City — World leaders have strongly condemned the terror attack near Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station, which claimed multiple lives and left more than 20 injured on Monday evening.

The explosion occurred when a Haryana-registered car parked near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station suddenly detonated, leading to extensive damage and casualties.

In an official resolution, the Union Cabinet described the incident as a heinous act of terrorism carried out by anti-national forces.

“The country has witnessed a heinous terror incident, perpetrated by anti-national forces, through a car explosion,” the Cabinet said. “The investigation must be pursued with the utmost urgency and professionalism so that the perpetrators, their collaborators, and their sponsors are identified and brought to justice without delay.”

Reacting to the attack, Singapore’s Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan expressed condolences and support for India.

“Singapore strongly condemns the terror incident involving a car explosion near New Delhi’s Red Fort on November 10. Heartfelt condolences to the families of victims. May those injured recover soon. Singapore stands in solidarity with India in this difficult time,” Balakrishnan wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Responding to his message, India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said, “Value your sentiments of solidarity, FM Vivian Balakrishnan.”

South Korea’s Foreign Minister Cho Hyun also expressed grief and extended condolences on behalf of his country.

“I am deeply saddened by the news of the explosion in Delhi. On behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of Korea, I offer my sincere condolences to the people of India who lost their loved ones. I wish the injured a full and speedy recovery,” Hyun posted on X.

Similarly, Ireland’s Ambassador to India, Kevin Kelly, condemned the act of terror and reaffirmed support for India.

“Heartfelt condolences to the victims and a speedy recovery to those injured in the Delhi terror attacks. Terrorism has no place in society. We strongly condemn all forms of terrorism and stand with the Indian people,” Kelly wrote on X.
