Inner Wheel Club of Ranchi South Supports Inclusive Sports at 1st Boccia Awareness & Training Programme 2026

The Inner Wheel Club of Ranchi South was honoured to be invited by the Jharkhand Para Boccia Association (JPBA) to participate in the 1st Boccia Awareness & Training Programme 2026, held at Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium, Khelgaon, Ranchi.

The one-day programme was organised by JPBA in collaboration with Parivartan Society, Ranchi, with support from Divyang Marg Darshan Trust. The initiative aimed to introduce Boccia, a Paralympic precision ball sport, to persons with physical and locomotor disabilities, caregivers, coaches and special educators, promoting awareness and encouraging greater participation in inclusive sports.

The programme was attended by Club President Ranjana Shukla, Club ISO Shweta Jaiswal and Club Editor Nilu Ojha, who represented the Club and extended their support to this meaningful initiative.

As a gesture of encouragement and a commitment to promoting inclusive sports, the Inner Wheel Club of Ranchi South distributed T-shirts bearing the Club’s name among the participants and volunteers. The initiative was warmly appreciated and highlighted the Club’s dedication to social inclusion, empowerment of Divyangjan and equal opportunities for all.

Club President Mrs. Ranjana Shukla and the members expressed their heartfelt gratitude to JPBA, particularly its President, Mr. Jitendra Kumar Sharma, and Secretary General, Mr. Suman Kumar Sharma, for providing the Club with the opportunity to be part of this noble cause and contribute to expanding inclusive sporting opportunities across Jharkhand.

The Inner Wheel Club of Ranchi South reaffirmed its commitment to supporting similar initiatives in the future, fostering an inclusive society where persons with disabilities are empowered to participate, excel and thrive through sports and community engagement.
