Ranchi: ED raids are going on at the residence of Tupudana police station in-charge Meera Singh and her close land businessman cum Congress state secretary Lal Mohit Nath Shahdev in Tupudana.
During this time, ED has recovered Rs 15 lakh in cash and 8 mobile phones from the residence of Inspector Meera Singh. Although this has not been officially confirmed.
ED is raiding the residences of Meera Singh and Lal Mohit Nath Shahdev in connection with the land scam.
Meera Singh is an inspector of 2012 batch.
It is said about Meera Singh that she is very close to the top power.
About 6 months ago, DGP Ajay Kumar Singh had transferred him to PTC Padma.
But his hold was so strong that within a week that order had to be cancelled.
Earlier, on 25 February 2021, while being the station in-charge in Khunti, Meera Singh was arrested red handed by the ACB while taking a bribe of Rs 15 thousand.
This matter is still pending in the court.
