BJP demands state government to detail expenditure made to tackle Coronavirus

Ranchi: State BJP president Deepak Prakash said that the central government was providing all possible medical and economical assistance to the state governments in the fight against Coronavirus.

He said that during the start of the lockdown itself a sum of Rs 273 crore was given to the Jharkhand government and apart from that the mineral fund awarded to different districts has been also allowed to be used in the fight against Coronavirus. He said that the Centre not only gave money in Jan Dhan Accounts and Kissan Samman Rashi on the other hand also allocated foodgrains for three months which the state government has failed to ensure proper distribution.

He said that the state government should tell as to how much it has spent from the state's exchequer in this battle as the Chief Minister had announced that the government has set aside Rs 200 crore to battle Coronavirus in the state. He said that by demanding economic package the state government wanted to hide its failures.
