New Delhi — In a major push to India’s research and development landscape, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the ?1 lakh crore Research Development and Innovation (RDI) Scheme Fund on Monday, aimed at fostering a vibrant, private sector–driven R&D ecosystem in the country.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Emerging Science and Technology Innovation Conclave (ESTIC) 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, where he will also address the gathering.
The three-day conclave, scheduled from November 3 to 5, will bring together over 3,000 participants — including leading scientists, innovators, policymakers, and representatives from academia, research institutions, industry, and government — along with several Nobel Laureates.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), discussions at ESTIC 2025 will focus on 11 key thematic areas: Advanced Materials and Manufacturing, Artificial Intelligence, Bio-Manufacturing, Blue Economy, Digital Communications, Electronics and Semiconductor Manufacturing, Emerging Agricultural Technologies, Energy, Environment and Climate, Health and Medical Technologies, Quantum Science and Technology, and Space Technologies.
“ESTIC 2025 will feature keynote talks, panel discussions, presentations, and technology showcases, offering a collaborative platform for researchers, industry, and young innovators to strengthen India’s science and technology ecosystem,” the PMO said.
Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh, described ESTIC 2025 as a platform for young innovators, startups, and researchers to display their innovations, seek mentorship, and build meaningful connections with industry leaders and stakeholders.
The conclave is envisioned as an outcome-oriented event that celebrates scientific achievements while promoting collaboration among researchers, entrepreneurs, industries, and funding agencies to advance India’s innovation-led growth.
