
Lohardaga : Ultras belonging to the CPI Maoists continued their menace in the state as they set on fire couple of JCB machines in Masuriyakhad under Kisko Police Station area of this district.
Police said that the maoist squad led by their regional commander Ravindra Ganjhu had executed the incident. It was Ganjhu and his men who had yesterday killed four policemen in an ambush in Lukaiya village under Chandwa Police Station area of the neighbouring Latehar district.
Locals claimed that after reaching the spot the ultras inquired about the contractor and after he was not found they cordoned off the area and set the two machines on fire and warned the workers not to start the road construction work.
Meanwhile, Lohardaga SP Priyadarshi Alok has confirmed the incident. He said that a couple of JCB machines have been set on fire in the area and the incident was executed by CPI Maoists.
