AJSU becomes new destination for disgruntled and ticket seeking leaders in Jharkhand

Ranchi: The AJSU party has become a hot destination for disgruntled leaders and ticket hopefuls who are knocking the doors of the Sudesh Mahto to get a ticket for the polls.

Throughout the day a long line of ticket aspirants kept lining at the official residence of Mr Sudesh Mahto located at Kanke Road.

It was chief whip of the BJP and Chattarpur MLA Radha Krishna Kishore who met Mr Mahto and later in the day announced his joining in the party.

Mr Kishore was denied ticket from Chattarpur by the BJP, however AJSU sources said that now Mr Kishore will be filing his nominations from the seat tomorrow as AJSU nominee.

On the other hand, wife of former chairman of Jharkhand Pollution Control Board late Tileshwar Sahu, Sabi Devi also met Mr Mahto.

In the previous election she had switched over to the Congress. On the other hand younger son of senior BJP leader Kariya Munda, Amarnath Munda also met Mr Mahto and so did BJP leader Aarti Kujur who is also the chairperson of the state child commission.

It is expected that Aarti Kujur has expressed her desire to contest from Khijri seat on AJSU ticket while Amarnath Munda is a hopeful from Khunti.

Late in the evening former JPCC chief and ex-Rajya Sabha MP Pradeep Balmuchu also had a closed door meeting with Mr Mahto.

Balmuchu plans to contest from Ghatshila seat but under the seat sharing pact between JMM and Congress the seat went to Hemant Soren’s party following which Balmuchu was left with no option but either to join some other party or contest as an independent.
