AIMIM looking to contest 15-20 seats in Jharkhand

Ranchi: Asaduddin Owaisi-led All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is preparing to contest 15-20 seats in the Jharkhand Assembly Elections.

AIMIM state president Hubban Mallik has also exuded his confidence on winning eight seats in the state and said that the party will field candidates on such seats where Muslim voters play a decisive role. He said that among the star campaigners of the party will feature Asaduddin and Akabaruddin Owaisi.

Mallik said AIMIM leaders from Maharashtra will also be campaigning in elections in Jharkhand.

He said that the party has identified Bishrampur, Lohardaga, Ranchi, Hatia, Barhi, Tundi, Hussainabad, Khijri, Sarath, Madhupur, Mahgama, Gandey, Pakur, Hussainabad, Jamshedpur West, Latehar, Rajmahal, Hazaribagh and Barkatha seats where it may field its candidates.

In September 25 Asaduddin Owaisi had attended a public meeting in the state capital in which he had announced his plans to field candidates during the Vidhan Sabha elections in the state.
