JD-U in Jharkhand to field candidates on all 81 seats

Ranchi: The state unit of Janta Dal-United has announced that it will be contesting on all the 81 seats of the state.

Briefing the press state JD-U president Salkhan Murmu said that the party had urged Babulal Marandi to prepare a new alternative but he did not show any interest. He said that in the 19 years all parties have ruled in the state but all of them including the BJP, Congress and JMM have not done anything for the betterment of the state and its people.

He said that the model of Nitish Kumar is the last and better option for Bihar as he was done a lot of work in Bihar. Murmu credited Nitish Kumar for bringing good governance in Bihar and checking displacement and migration of the people and has taken many steps for women empowerment and imposed ban on liquor in that state.

On the other hand, in Jharkhand the state government is closing government schools and is opening liquor shops he said adding that the leaders of his party have intentions and also policy and said that his party will take the Nitish Model among the people of Jharkhand and seek their votes.
