Guv expresses her delight over social initiatives undertaken by IPSOWA

Ranchi: Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu has expressed her delight over the various social initiatives taken by the women under the aegis of Jharkhand IPS Officers Wives Association.

Addressing a gathering which participating in a scholarship distribution programme organised by the organisation she said that she was happy to note that the organisation was providing scholarships to the meritorious students of the police family and was also giving them financial assistance so that they can prepare for the medical and engineering entrance exam.

She also expressed her delight on other works being done by the organisation including the adoption of the villages, plantation drives and ensuring proper drinking water supply.

She also lauded the initiative to provide assistance to low ranked policemen grappling with serious diseases and Divyang children of the policemen.

She said that in every sphere of life the women have made a name for themselves whether it was the field of education or social work.

She also heaped praise on the organisation for providing a various training programme for the empowerment of the women including those related to painting, beautician, motor driving, fashion designing etc.

The governor asked the members of the organisation to continue their good work and maintain conduct so that they are looked upon as a role model by other women of the society.
