JMM has got scared with support for BJP in Kolhan claims Ramkumar Pahan

Ranchi: ST Morcha president of state BJP and MLA Ramkumar Pahan said that the huge turn out of the people in the Jan Aashirwad Yatar in Kolhan was an ample proof that people have appreciated the policies and programmes of the BJP due to which the JMM has got scared.

Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here he said that BJP has always stood for the upliftment of the tribals as after coming to power immediately the ST Commission was formed apart from that honorary sums for the traditional tribal heads including Manki Munda and Pahans were announced.

Similarly, the state government has decided to provide an aid of Rs 1 lakh for tribal students who clear UPSC Mains while pre-matric and post-matric scholarship for the students has been increased to 527 crore.

He said that the state government has opened a medical college in Chaibasa along with awarding the status of state festival to Luguburu Mahotsav.

Accusing the JMM of indulging in baseless allegations he said that due to its declining support of the people the JMM has changed the venue of its ‘Badlao Rally’. Pahan said that the Morhabadi Grounds was allotted to JIPSOWA on August 1 and despite knowing the fact the JMM deliberately applied for the ground on August 8.

He said that on the first come first serve basis the ground was allotted and even the district administration had informed the party on August 16 regarding the venue. The MLA said that people have already understood that ‘Badlao’ rally was only to show the change in the Soren family and had nothing to do with their well being.
