
Ranchi: Normal life in the state has been thrown out of the gear thanks to the incessant rainfall which is taking place for the last 48 hours.
The weather department in its report said that maximum rainfall was received in Kurudeg of Simdega district while rainfall percentage has also increased in Rajmahal and other areas of the Santhal Pargana region. The state capital of Ranchi had recorded 10 mm of rainfall, Jamshedpur 41 mm and Daltonganj 4 mm of rainfall.
Weather scientist at the Ranchi Met Department RS Sharma said that currently a cyclonic system situated 7.6 km above the sea level was hovering between coastal areas of Maharashtra, Goa-Karnataka and East Central parts of the Arabian Sea.
He said that the turf line associated with this system is passing over Bihar, internal areas of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and South Eastern Uttar Pradesh at an height of 5.8 kilometers above the sea level.
The weather department has predicted for medium to heavy rainfall in North-Southern, North East and Eastern regions of the state.
The department said that on September 29 and 30 also many regions of the state are likely to witness light to medium rainfall.
