BJP welcomes high court verdict on domicile policy

Ranchi: The state BJP has welcomed the decision of the high court in which it has described the domicile policy framed by the state government in accordance with the law and as per the constitution.

Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo said that the High Court has given its stamp on the decision of the state government which would open the door of development in the state.

He said that the JMM should now apologize to the people of the state and the youth as it had opposed the domicile policy for the last five years and had described it as unconstitutional.

He said that the Jan Aashirwad Yatra being taken out by the Chief Minister in Santhal Pargana was getting recorded response and claimed that after the creation of the states no such leader has received such support of the people which is a clear indication that JMM would be wiped out from Santhal Pargana and the party will achieve its target of winning more than 15 plus seats.

On the mob lynching incident of Khunti he said that it had received information that some people were selling the prohibited meat after which villagers beat them up and police acted promptly and rescued them and rushed them to the hospital during which one of the man died while two others are being treated.

He said that upon receiving the information the DIG and the Rural SP since the night camped in the village and was monitoring the situation. He said that had the police not protected them then life of the two men could not be saved therefore it was not correct to raise questions on the role of the police and assured that the state government will not spare any of the guilty.
