The Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) 2026 will be conducted in two shifts at 45 examination centres across the Deoghar and Madhupur subdivisions on November 1. The district administration has stepped up security and monitoring arrangements to ensure the examination is conducted fairly and without malpractice.

Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Saurabh Kumar Bhuvania reviewed the preparations at a briefing meeting held at the Suchana Bhawan auditorium on Thursday. He said the administration's priority was to ensure a fair, transparent and malpractice-free examination, warning that negligence at any level would not be tolerated.

The Deputy Commissioner directed magistrates, police officers, static magistrates and examination centre superintendents to follow the prescribed guidelines strictly and ensure adequate security. Static and mobile magistrates were instructed to inspect their allotted centres in advance and verify security arrangements and basic facilities, including electricity, drinking water and seating.

Superintendent of Police Praveen Pushkar directed police personnel to maintain tight security at all examination centres. Adequate police and Home Guard personnel will be deployed, while patrol teams and flying squads will remain active throughout the examination.

Pushkar warned that strict legal action would be taken against anyone attempting malpractice, disrupting law and order or engaging in other unlawful activities. The district cyber cell has also been directed to monitor social media platforms for rumours, misleading information and false claims of question paper leaks. Those found spreading rumours will face action.

Section 163 restrictions within 500 metres of centres

Prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) will remain in force within a 500-metre radius of all 45 examination centres from 6 am to 6 pm on November 1. Unauthorised gatherings and crowds around the centres will be prohibited during this period.

The review meeting was attended by Deputy Development Commissioner Piyush Sinha, Additional Collector Hira Kumar, Deoghar Sub-Divisional Officer Ravi Kumar, Madhupur SDO Rajiv Kumar, District Public Relations Officer Rahul Kumar Bharti, District Planning Officer Mukesh Kumar, police officials, education department representatives and other district-level officers.

The administration has called on all officials involved in the examination process to remain vigilant and ensure that candidates can take the test in a secure and orderly environment.
