Ramgarh Police has taken two separate preventive actions against alleged habitual criminals associated with the Rahul Dubey gang under the Jharkhand Crime Control Act (CCA), 2002. A detention order has been issued against Sujit Dom alias Sujit Ram, while the detention period of Tushar Mishra alias Shomya Mishra has been extended.

According to the police, the measures are part of ongoing efforts to curb organised crime, restrict the activities of criminal networks and maintain law and order in the district.

Sujit Dom alias Sujit Ram, son of the late Arjun Ram and a resident of Riverside Budh Bazaar under the Patratu (Bhurkunda) police station area of Ramgarh district, has been placed under a detention order issued under the CCA.

In the second case, the detention period of Tushar Mishra alias Shomya Mishra, son of the late Rajkumar Mishra and a resident of Mishra Tola in Marar under Ramgarh police station limits, has been extended under the same law.

The state government's Home, Prisons and Disaster Management Department issued the relevant orders, following which the Advisory Board reviewed both cases. According to the police statement, the board found sufficient grounds for preventive detention in both matters.

Following the review, the detention order against Sujit Dom alias Sujit Ram was issued, while the existing detention order against Tushar Mishra alias Shomya Mishra was extended.

The police said such measures were intended to strengthen efforts against organised criminal activities and prevent individuals allegedly linked to criminal networks from engaging in further unlawful activities.
