JIASOWA working to provide platform to women entrepreneurs

Ranchi: Secretary of JIASOWA Manu Jha said that the organization was working for economic and social empowerment of the women and the Diwali Mela was acting like a platform for such women entrepreneurs.

The Mela will be held from October 17 to 21 at the Morabadi grounds in which women from all SHGs would be putting up their stalls. She said that apart from creating employment the event will also lead to the branding of the products manufactured by them.

She said that bamboo-based stall will also be put up at the venue. She said that there was huge demand for bamboo made products therefore especially the bamboo artisans have been made part of the event.

She said that this time a large number of bamboo artisans from Santhal Pargana will be putting up their stalls at the venue and apart from them the women self-help groups will also be putting up their stalls.

She said that this time the silk artisans will also get an opportunity to branden their products and they would be able to sell their products. She said that silk from Chaibasa and Dumka will be special attraction.
