
Ranchi: Amid uproar ABVP and candidates supported by it won 65 seats in the elections of the Ranchi University Students Union. The elections were held for a total of 95 posts including PG and 19 other educational institutions. While ABVP and its supporters won 65 seats, 22 seats were on by Adivasi Chatra Sangh and AJSU affiliated students body won 6 seats while independents won 2 seats.
Like the previous year the NSUI failed to open its account and so did JCM, JVCM, Jharkhand Chatra Sangh and students Union associated with left parties. Post the results ABVP is all set to win the five seats at the university level as 48 seats are required to win the seats at the university level.
The ABVP and its supporters have 65 seats so it was all sure for victory as elections at the university level are now a mere formality. In the previous electional so ABVP had won all the 5 seats. At that time out of 90 seats the outfit had won 41 seats while ACS had won 24 and AJSU had won 23 seats and two went to Independents.
