
Ranchi: JD-U National President and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that it was absolutely all right that the SC and ST were getting reservation in the state but the backward caste and extremely backward castes should also get the 27 percent reservation which was provided to them during days of undivided Bihar.
Addressing the meeting of his party workers he said that his party will not accept any changes in the CNT and SPT acts as if they are changed that the Adivasis and moolvasis will slowly be thrown out of their own state.
He said that different regions of the state have their own problems and specialties therefore to solve the division of the problem wise special development authorities should be framed. He also advocated the need to launch special schemes of the weavers and also demanded that ban on liqour should be imposed in the state.
Mr Kumar said that the party workers should take these issues among the people and strengthen the party organisation so that they can emerge victorious in the polls. He said that the state unit was completely free to take decisions regarding to the assembly polls and said that the state unit will decide the number of seats which they wished to contest and assured full support to the unit. Without naming the BJP government Mr Kumar detailed regarding the poor condition of the state.
He said that his party was in favour of creating separate state and said that after creation of state people in Jharkhand were happy while those in Bihar were sad. People use to say that only Aloo Balu and Lalu were left in Bihar while the mineral wealth went to Jharkhand. People were of the view that Jharkhand will progress more than Bihar but what was the condition after 19 years is before everyone.
