Leaders in Jharkhand also hail center’s decision to scarp Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir

Ranchi: Politicians in the state including those from the opposition also have lauded the decision of the Central Government to scarp Article 370 giving special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Chief Minister Raghubar Das in a series of tweeted hailed the decision taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

He said that the historic decision will give a new dimension to the development of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the day will be written in golden words in the history of the country and further added that for 70 years one family had kept  Jammu and Kashmir separate which will be no longer.

In another tweet he said that the dream of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee has now been realised. On the other hand, AJSU party supremo Sudesh Kumar Mahto said that the decision to scarp article 370 from Kashmir was a historic bold and memorable decision taken for the unification of the country. He congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for sticking to their pledge of making a ‘Shresth Bharat’.

On the other hand, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda said that Article 370 will now be scrapped. Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh will be two union territories and congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister for this bold decision.

JMM’s acting President Hemant Soren said that his part considered Jammu and Kashmir as an inseparable part of India but the central government has already kept the assembly of that state dissolved. He said that his party wanted elections and formation of the people's government but today Article 370 has been scrapped and claimed that the central government had taken advantage of its majority in the house and put the constitution of the nation in the docks.

Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and JVM(P) supremo Babulal Marandi said that his party sees the decision taken by the central government full of positivity for the people of Jammu and Kashmir and welcomed the decision. He said that with this decision he was hopeful of development and peace in Jammu and Kashmir
