DGP chairs high level meeting with DIGs and SPs

Ranchi: DGP KN Choubey on Monday chaired a high-level review meeting with the DIGs and the SPs of the districts through video conferencing to assess the law and order situation post the scrapping of article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

In the meeting, the DGP directed the officials to make special vigil and maintain proper law and order in the state. He also pointed out that August 12 which is the fourth Somvari of the auspicious month of Shravan is also coinciding with the festival of Bakri Eid, therefore, a special eye should be maintained in the sensitive areas.

He said that the officials should be especially alert in the sensitive areas and keep and eye on the anti-social elements and directed to ensure that necessary action should be taken for those spreading
fake rumours. They were also instructed to keep an eye on social media platforms.
