Chief Secretary reviews functioning of power department and its revenue generation

Ranchi: The state government has made up its mind to take action against such officials who are responsible for delay in execution of works which could have provided uninterrupted power to the people as part of which Chief Secretary DK Tiwari held a marathon meeting over the function of the power department and its revenue collection.

He issued serious instructions to all the area boards over the less revenue generation and asked the general managers of the boards to take necessary action. He also directed to issue show cause and stop their increment and promotion.

The performance of Medninagar Giridih and Dhanbad board was most poor while Jamshedpur was far ahead from all the boards with more than 90 percent of revenue collection. The Chief Secretary asked the MD of Urja Vitran Nigam to come up with details of revenue collection as per the circle level.

The Chief Secretary directed to start all the power substations whose construction has been completed and also said that such agencies which have completed their work their payment should be done.
