Union Budget 2019-20: Raghubar says Budget for New India, Hemant compares with market of ‘Jumlas’

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das has described the Union Budget of 2019-20 as the one for making a New India and a budget which has been dedicated for the all round development of the villages, poor farmers and youth.

Reacting over the Budget 2019-20 he said that keeping in mind the needs of the country Prime Minister Narendra Modi has handed out goodies for all the sections of the society and said that the budget was a balanced one for which he also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

On the other hand Leader of Opposition and JMM’s acting president Hemant Soren compared the Budget of being a ‘Jumla Bazar’. Describing it as dangerous he said that in the days to come it will cause of losses to the poor, farmers and the youth. He said that it appears that the grandmother has narrated a tale to crying children and said that when details of income and expenditure have not been explained than is it possible for the common people to read the heavy budget books.

He said that the government plans to earn lakhs and crore by selling stake in PSUs and in days to come no respite appears for the poor and said that when government companies will go in the hands of the corporate than jobs would be reduced and alleged that by budget attempts have been made to end reservation. He described privatization of railways and foreign investment in media as ‘dangerous’.

JPCC chief Dr Ajay Kumar described the Union Budget 2019-20 as bogus and said that there was nothing new in the budget and it was only a repeat of the previous promises. He said that in the name of New India by opening foreign investment an attempt is being made to once again make the nation slave.

He said that with the increase in excise rate by one rupee the cost of petrol and diesel will go up whose burden will fall on the common people. He said that by encouraging private sector help has been given to the corporates and going further the problems of poverty and unemployment will further aggravate in the country.

AJSU supremo Sudesh Kumar Mahto said that the budget will help to realise the dream of a strong and developed India. He said that the budget is focussed on strengthening the basic infrastructure and has accorded focus on social and economic development of villages, poor, farmers and even steps have been taken for empowerment of women and youth.
