Ranchi: The Jharkhand High Court has fixed July 12 as the next date of hearing on the bail plea which has been filed by former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav in the Deoghar treasury case.
The court of justice Apresh Kumar Singh has asked the lawyers of Mr Yadav to present their arguments in the case while the CBI has already submitted its statement in the case before the court. On June 13 Mr Yadav had moved his bail petition in this case.
A special CBI court had on December 23, 2017 held Mr Yadav guilty in Deoghar Treasury Case of Fodder Scam and had awarded him an imprisonment of 3.5 years. Since Mr Yadav has already served half of the imprisonment period which makes him eligible for bail and on this basis the lawyers of Mr Yadav have filed for bail in Deoghar Treasury Case.
