The body of an unidentified woman, believed to be around 35 years old, was found in suspicious circumstances at Digariya Hill along the Deoghar-Chakai road in Jharkhand’s Deoghar district on Thursday. Her legs were tied, prompting police to suspect possible murder.

The body was discovered within the jurisdiction of Jasidih police station, on a slope approximately 35 feet above road level. Police reached the spot after receiving information and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

A foul smell emanating from the body suggested that the woman might have died two to three days earlier, although the exact time and cause of death have not yet been established.

During an inspection of the scene, investigators recovered a packet of khaini (smokeless tobacco) and a water bottle near the body. Police also examined the surrounding area for possible clues that could help reconstruct the events leading to the incident.

The woman's identity remains unknown. Police are working to establish her identity and determine how she reached Digariya Hill. Investigators are also examining the possibility of murder and whether other individuals were involved.

The cause of death and the circumstances of the incident will become clearer as the investigation progresses. No conclusion about the motive or the identity of those responsible has been established so far.
