Namo Jal Seva Launched at AIIMS Deoghar to Provide Clean Drinking Water to Patients

Namo Jal Seva has been launched at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Deoghar, to provide clean and cool drinking water to patients and their attendants visiting the premier healthcare institution.

Godda MP Dr Nishikant Dubey formally inaugurated the initiative on the AIIMS campus in the presence of senior officials, doctors and other members of the hospital administration.

Speaking at the inauguration, Dubey said a large number of patients and their family members travel to AIIMS Deoghar from distant parts of the region for treatment. Ensuring access to safe drinking water for them is therefore an important public welfare measure, he said.

He added that the new facility would provide much-needed relief to patients and attendants, particularly those who may have to spend several hours on the hospital premises while undergoing treatment or attending to family members.

The AIIMS administration said providing essential public amenities to patients and visitors remains one of its priorities. The launch of Namo Jal Seva is expected to further strengthen basic facilities on the campus and make the hospital experience more comfortable for patients and their families.

The initiative is also aimed at ensuring that people visiting the hospital have easy access to drinking water without having to leave the campus in search of the facility.

Senior AIIMS officials and doctors were present during the inauguration along with other attendees.

The launch marks an additional step towards improving patient-friendly amenities at AIIMS Deoghar and strengthening basic services for people travelling to the institution from across the region.
