Secondary Education Director Rajesh Prasad and Joint Secretary Kunwar Singh Pahan conducted a detailed inspection of three PM SHRI schools in Ramgarh district on Friday as part of a departmental review.
The inspection was aimed at assessing the academic environment, teaching arrangements, infrastructure and facilities being provided to students at the schools. The officials visited PM SHRI Utkrisht High School, Rajrappa Project; PM SHRI Utkrisht High School, Bariyatu; and PM SHRI Utkrisht High School, Kulhi.
During the inspection, the officials reviewed classrooms, laboratories, libraries, drinking water facilities, sanitation arrangements and other infrastructure. They also took stock of academic activities and interacted with students to understand their experiences regarding teaching, learning and the overall quality of education.
## Focus on Quality and Modern Infrastructure
Secondary Education Director Rajesh Prasad directed teachers and school management committees to ensure that schools selected under the PM SHRI scheme are developed in line with modern educational standards.
He stressed that the focus should extend beyond physical infrastructure to include quality and inclusive education, improved learning outcomes and innovative teaching methods. The officials also emphasised the need to make effective use of the resources and facilities being created under the scheme.
School administrations were instructed to continuously improve their arrangements and ensure that students receive the benefits of various educational schemes and programmes being implemented by the government.
The inspection also provided officials with an opportunity to directly assess the condition of the schools and interact with students and teachers, allowing them to identify areas requiring further improvement.
Ramgarh District Education Officer Abhay Kumar Seal, Additional District Programme Officer (ADPO) Anup Michael Kerketta and Assistant Programme Officer (APO) Kumar Raj, along with the principals, teachers and other departmental officials of the concerned schools, were present during the inspection.
