Inner Wheel Club of Ranchi South Celebrates Independence Day with Cleanliness Drive at Kadru School

Ranchi: The Inner Wheel Club of Ranchi South celebrated the 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour and a special cleanliness and awareness programme at Kadru School, Ranchi, on August 15, 2026.

As part of its “Keep City Clean” initiative, the club distributed dustbins, buckets, doormats and mugs among the school to promote cleanliness, hygiene and better sanitation practices among students. Food items and toffees were also distributed among the children, adding to the festive spirit of the occasion.

The programme included a series of fun games and a quiz for the students, conducted by ISO Shweta Ji. The children participated enthusiastically, and several prizes were presented to the winners to encourage their involvement.

The Independence Day celebrations began with the hoisting of the national flag, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The programme was marked by enthusiasm, patriotism and active participation from the students and club members.

The initiative aimed not only to celebrate Independence Day but also to create awareness among children about the importance of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in their school and surroundings. The organisers encouraged the students to adopt responsible habits, keep their environment clean and contribute to nation-building through small but meaningful actions.

The programme concluded on a positive note, leaving the children inspired to take greater responsibility for cleanliness and civic awareness.
