
Deoghar: A massive gathering of devotees was witnessed at Baba Baidyanath Temple and across the entire mela area on the third Monday of Rajkiya Shravani Mela 2026. The district administration remained fully alert to ensure the safety of Kanwariyas, smooth offering of holy water and effective queue management.The situation across the mela area was continuously monitored from the main control room located at Baba Temple. In this connection, Santhal Pargana Inspector General of Police Mayur Patel and Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Kumar Bhuvaniya jointly conducted a surprise inspection of the main control room.
The officials reviewed the live security situation and route lines through modern CCTV cameras and the video wall installed at the control room.
Constant Watch on Queue Movement
During the inspection, the officials reviewed the situation at various queue points along the route line, as well as the internal and external areas of the temple complex. Through the queue monitoring system, they checked whether devotees were moving continuously and whether unnecessary crowding was taking place at any point.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the officials and technical teams deployed at the IMCR and temple control room to maintain continuous surveillance over all sensitive locations in the mela area. He instructed that any slowdown in queue movement or sudden increase in crowd density should be immediately communicated to the on-duty magistrate and police personnel so that timely action could be taken.
Focus on Safe and Smooth Jalarpan
A large number of Kanwariyas reached Baba Baidyanath Temple on the third Monday. Amid strict security and continuous monitoring, devotees offered holy water in an orderly, smooth and safe manner.The route line and activities across the mela area were monitored round the clock through CCTV cameras and the queue monitoring system. Deputy Development Commissioner Piyush Sinha and Sub-Divisional Officer Ravi Kumar were also present during the inspection.
