Jharkhand CM Assures Students of Justice Amid JPSC-JSSC Recruitment Exam Controversy

Ranchi: Breaking his silence on the ongoing controversy over alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC), Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday assured students that the government was handling the issue with complete seriousness and would ensure justice through due legal and constitutional processes.

Speaking to the media after attending a memorial programme for Shibu Soren in Nemra village of Ramgarh district, the Chief Minister said the state government was fully aware of the concerns raised by students and remained committed to resolving them.

Describing his government as sensitive and accountable, Soren said every issue taken up by the administration is dealt with responsibly. He assured that the interests of students would be protected and that all decisions would be made strictly within the framework of the Constitution and the law.

The Chief Minister said he understood the gravity of the situation and reiterated that the government was closely monitoring every development. He added that appropriate action would be taken after examining all available facts and evidence.

According to Soren, multiple agencies are currently investigating the allegations related to the recruitment examinations. He said the government was waiting for their findings before making any final decision and promised that the public would be informed once the investigation reached a conclusion.

He further stated that administrative and legal procedures were progressing simultaneously and that the government would extend every possible support to students while ensuring that justice was delivered in a lawful manner.

The Chief Minister's remarks come at a time when the students' protest at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Ranchi has entered its 11th day. The agitation is aimed at highlighting alleged corruption, paper leaks and other irregularities in recruitment examinations conducted by the JPSC and JSSC.

The protesting students have demanded the cancellation of the 14th JPSC Combined Civil Services Preliminary Examination, a CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) probe into the alleged recruitment scam, disclosure of OMR sheets, answer scripts and category-wise cut-off marks, blacklisting of agencies accused of malpractice, and comprehensive reforms to ensure transparency in the state's recruitment system.
