
Deoghar: The Deoghar District Cricket Association (DDCA) has announced the schedule for the election of its new Executive Committee. The decision was taken during a meeting held at the association's office at Kamal Kant Naroune Stadium on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Secretary Vijay Jha.Members held detailed discussions on the election process and unanimously resolved to conduct the polls in a transparent and fair manner. The complete election programme was also finalised during the meeting.According to the schedule, nomination forms will be distributed on July 21 and 22 until 6 p.m. The last date for submission of nomination papers is July 23 by 6 p.m. Candidates may withdraw their nominations until 4 p.m. on July 24, while scrutiny of nomination papers will be conducted between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on the same day.Polling for the new Executive Committee will be held on Sunday, July 26, until 4 p.m. Vote counting will begin thereafter, and the results will be declared at 6 p.m. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held at 6:30 p.m., immediately after the announcement of the election results.The association also announced that noted Deoghar advocate Rajkumar Sharma will serve as the Returning Officer. The election process will be conducted under the supervision of an Election Observer appointed by the Jharkhand State Cricket Association.Apart from Secretary Vijay Jha, the meeting was attended by Manna Singh, Gyan Prakash, Anil Jha, Iftikhar Sheikh, Atikur Rahman, Amarendra Kumar, Mintu Singh, Ranjan Kumar, Virendra Kumar Singh, Rajesh Dubey and Alok Rajhans.
