RANCHI: In a major push to accelerate its Vision 2050 roadmap, the Jharkhand government will organise a two-day National Stakeholders Consultation in New Delhi on July 8 and 9, bringing together leading industrialists, global investors, policymakers and technology experts to chart the state's future in investment, digital innovation and tourism.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren has been invited as the chief guest for the event. IT Secretary Pooja Singhal and Industries Secretary Arava Rajkamal met the Chief Minister at the Jharkhand Secretariat on Thursday to formally extend the invitation. Information and Public Relations Department Special Secretary Rajeev Lochan Bakshi was also present.
Jointly organised by the state's Information Technology, Industries and Tourism Departments, the consultation aims to position Jharkhand as an emerging destination for investment and innovation under the theme "Explore Infinite Opportunities."
The event will focus on key sectors including industrial investment, information technology, artificial intelligence (AI), digital governance, textiles and tourism. During the consultation, the government will release draft policy papers on the Jharkhand AI Policy, Investment Promotion Policy, Tourism Policy, Textile Policy, JIADA Regulations, and the PPP Policy, inviting suggestions from industry stakeholders before finalisation.
The first day will feature discussions on digital governance, IT infrastructure, AI and technology partnerships, followed by Business-to-Government (B2G) interactions with industry representatives. Several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between the IT Department and private companies are also expected to be signed.
The second day will focus on investment promotion, inclusive development and tourism, showcasing Jharkhand's industrial potential, rich natural resources and cultural heritage. The government will also hold stakeholder consultations on industrial promotion, followed by the signing of major investment agreements with leading corporate groups. Several new digital portals and draft policies are also scheduled to be launched.
The consultation builds on Jharkhand's debut participation at the World Economic Forum in Davos and is expected to strengthen global investor engagement, attract fresh investments and generate employment opportunities. The event will conclude with a cultural programme showcasing Jharkhand's traditional dance, music and heritage before an audience of national and international delegates.
