

Deoghar: The Maheshmara branch of the State Bank of India celebrated the bank's 71st Foundation Day with enthusiasm on Wednesday. Senior social worker Dr. Sunil Khawade attended the programme as the chief guest. On the occasion, Chief Manager Santosh Kumar honoured five long-time customers, including Dr. Khawade, by presenting them with shawls and bouquets. Dr. Khawade also cut a cake and extended his greetings to the bank officials and staff on the foundation day. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Khawade said that SBI has consistently upgraded its banking services to meet the changing needs of customers. Whether in digital banking or branch-based services, the bank has adapted well to evolving times. He said he has been an SBI customer for many years and has witnessed significant improvements in its services over time.He said the Maheshmara branch has played an important role in supporting farmers by providing agricultural loans on easy repayment terms. With the monsoon remaining below expectations this year, farmers are likely to require greater financial assistance for cultivation.
