The ICAR-CIFE pavilion emerged as a major attraction at the fair, drawing farmers, students, entrepreneurs, industry stakeholders and policymakers keen to explore modern aquaculture technologies and sustainable fish farming practices.

The stall received high-profile visits from Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey, along with several senior government officials, who appreciated the institute's role in promoting scientific aquaculture and enhancing livelihood opportunities in the region.

Under the leadership of Director Dr. N.P. Sahu and Officer-in-Charge Dr. M.D. Akalkur, ICAR-CIFE Motipur has been actively supporting fish farmers through technical advisory services, skill development programmes, on-field demonstrations and applied research.

These efforts have facilitated the growth of successful commercial aquaculture ventures, contributing to employment generation and rural economic development.

One notable success story is King Fisheries, Ranchi, which has emerged as a model enterprise benefiting from the institute's continuous technical guidance and mentorship.

Speaking on the occasion, Nishant Kumar, Founder and Director of King Fisheries Farms, said, "The enthusiastic response witnessed at Agri Trade Fair 2026 reflects the tremendous potential of modern aquaculture in transforming rural livelihoods. We remain grateful to ICAR-CIFE for its unwavering technical support and scientific guidance, which have been instrumental in shaping King Fisheries into a sustainable and successful enterprise.
