Mumbai: Actress and performer Nora Fatehi has opened up about one of the most emotional moments of her career, saying that while she has experienced many major milestones over the years, nothing matched the feeling of celebrating her FIFA World Cup performance with her family and loved ones by her side.
Sharing a series of photographs from the second FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Toronto, where she performed, Nora revealed that the occasion was particularly special because it was the first time her entire family and close circle had come together to watch her perform live.
“I’ve been performing for over a decade now and have been fortunate to experience many significant moments in my career,” she wrote. “But never before had my entire family and loved ones been present together to witness it.”
The 34-year-old star said that after years of travelling and working alone, she was overwhelmed to find her mother, siblings, childhood friends, close friends and even her high-school teacher waiting to celebrate with her after the performance.
Describing the experience as deeply emotional, Nora said it was the first time she finished a show and was greeted by all the people who had been part of her journey. She added that she usually returns home alone after performances, making the moment even more meaningful.
Reflecting on the milestone, the actress said she had worked her entire life to reach such a stage and struggled to put the feeling into words. She expressed gratitude that her mother, sister and brother were present for the occasion, along with her former teacher and longtime friends.
Calling it a dream come true, Nora said the gathering of her loved ones made the achievement even more memorable and left her feeling thankful for the support she has received throughout her journey.
