Traffic SP Hits the Road Amid Heatwave, 10 Unauthorized Autos Seized

Ranchi: Taking a hands-on approach to tackle traffic congestion in the state capital, Traffic Superintendent of Police (SP) Rakesh Singh stepped out onto the city streets on Thursday to review traffic conditions firsthand. Braving the scorching heat, he visited several key intersections and busy road stretches to assess the situation and direct officials on measures to improve traffic flow.

During the inspection, the traffic police launched a special drive against auto-rickshaws operating without valid permits. The operation resulted in the seizure of 10 unauthorized autos, which were subsequently sent to the concerned police stations for further action. The enforcement drive created a buzz among vehicle operators and served as a warning against traffic violations.

Speaking on the occasion, Traffic SP Rakesh Singh said that the department is continuously working to make Ranchi’s traffic system more efficient and commuter-friendly. He noted that while improvements have been made, traffic management in several parts of the city still needs further strengthening.

He urged residents and motorists to strictly adhere to traffic regulations and maintain road discipline, emphasizing that public cooperation is essential to reducing congestion. The Traffic SP added that similar inspection and enforcement drives will continue in the future to ensure smoother and safer movement across the city.
