
Deoghar. An important meeting of the Inter-Departmental Coordination Committee was held on Thursday at the Collectorate auditorium under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner. During the meeting, a detailed review of various ongoing development schemes and government programmes in the district was conducted. The Deputy Commissioner directed all departmental officers to ensure better coordination at the district, block, and panchayat levels so that all schemes are completed within the stipulated time frame and in a quality manner.
During the review, the Deputy Commissioner expressed dissatisfaction over the slow progress of construction works and issued strict instructions to the concerned executive engineers. He stated that any kind of negligence or delay will not be tolerated. All departments must regularly review their pending works and ensure their timely completion. Special emphasis was laid on monitoring the progress of schemes related to health, education, social welfare, agriculture, and rural development departments.While reviewing sanitation arrangements, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the officials to prepare an effective plan for solid waste management in both urban and rural areas. He directed that regular waste collection must be ensured and strict implementation of segregation of wet and dry waste should be followed. He also reviewed drinking water supply schemes and instructed that all pending works should be completed on priority.In the field of child welfare and education, the Deputy Commissioner directed that 100 percent Aadhaar registration of all children enrolled in schools and Anganwadi centres must be ensured. He ordered the organization of special camps at the block level for this purpose. He also instructed that the electricity supply in all Anganwadi centres should be restored at the earliest.While discussing agriculture, he emphasized that in view of the upcoming Kharif season, the supply chain of seeds and fertilizers must be strengthened in advance. He also directed that technical issues related to Direct Benefit Transfer for pension and other welfare schemes should be resolved immediately in coordination with concerned officials. Additionally, he advised speeding up the process of establishing a One Stop Centre at the Madhupur Sub-Divisional Hospital campus for the safety and quick assistance of women.The meeting was attended by several senior district officials, including the Deputy Development Commissioner, Municipal Commissioner, Additional Collector, Sub-Divisional Officers, District Education Officer, District Agriculture Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, along with other departmental officers and engineers.
