Strict Briefing by Deoghar DC for JET Exam 2026: ‘Zero Tolerance’ Warning Against Malpractice

 Deoghar:– A briefing session was held on Wednesday at the Suchna Bhawan Auditorium under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate, Shashi Prakash Singh, to ensure the transparent and malpractice-free conduct of the Jharkhand Eligibility Test (JET) 2026, organized by the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC).
The Deputy Commissioner, while addressing all officials, center superintendents, and magistrates, made it clear that no compromise would be made regarding the sanctity and transparency of the examination. Issuing strict instructions, he stated that a ‘Zero Tolerance’ policy must be adopted throughout the examination process. He warned that if any individual or candidate is found involved in unfair activities, stringent legal action will be taken against them.
Key Directives Issued during the Briefing:
Inspection of Centers: All center superintendents and magistrates were directed to inspect their assigned examination centers on time and submit reports regarding basic amenities such as electricity, drinking water, seating arrangements, and security standards.
Public Awareness: The District Public Relations Officer (DPRO) was instructed to display banners at the main gates and prominent locations of all centers, clearly outlining exam rules, prohibited items, and penal provisions.
Vigilance: For the exam scheduled on April 26, 2026, patrolling and static magistrates were ordered to remain active and maintain strict surveillance throughout the duration of the test.
Security & Frisking: CCTV surveillance must be ensured at all centers. Rigorous frisking of candidates by male and female security personnel at the main entrance is mandatory.
Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, or any form of electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. The DC cautioned center superintendents against any negligence during the frisking process.
Attendance: The meeting was attended by the District Transport Officer, District Land Acquisition Officer, District Public Relations Officer, Assistant Public Relations Officer, along with all designated magistrates, center superintendents, patrolling magistrates, and concerned officials.
