
Deoghar: A high-level meeting concerning general administration, law, and High Court matters was held on Wednesday at the Collectorate Conference Hall, presided over by Deputy Commissioner (DC) cum District Magistrate Shashi Prakash Singh. The primary objective of the meeting was to review the current status of pending cases across various departments and formulate a strategy for their swift resolution.During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner conducted a department-wise review of the filing of counter-affidavits in Public Interest Litigations (PIL), WPS (Writ Petition Service), and matters related to the High Court and Supreme Court. He assessed the updated status of pending cases and issued necessary guidelines to the concerned officials. DC Shashi Prakash Singh stated firmly that any delay in matters of public interest and administrative functions would not be tolerated.
He directed officials to:
Categorize pending cases to ensure their execution in a time-bound manner.Take immediate action in cases where counter-affidavits have not yet been filed.Ensure no laxity at any stage of the legal process and provide regular updated reports.?"Public interest matters and administrative efficiency are paramount. Officials must prioritize legal documentation to prevent unnecessary judicial delays."The meeting was attended by the In-charge of the Law Branch, the Assistant Public Relations Officer, and officials from the concerned departments.
