?Deoghar :–?Union Minister Annpurna Devi has launched a scathing attack on the Mamata Banerjee-led government regarding the political situation and women's safety in West Bengal. During a press interaction in Deoghar, she raised serious questions about the Bengal government's functioning and asserted a definitive victory for the BJP in the upcoming elections.
?Concerns Over Women's Safety
The Union Minister described the current state of West Bengal as "deeply worrying," stating that neither women nor the general public are safe in the state today. She remarked that despite having a woman Chief Minister, the graph of crimes against women continues to rise.
?"There is total misrule in Bengal today. Hooliganism and the 'cut-money' culture are operating in broad daylight. It is most tragic that under a female Chief Minister, daughters are being told not to step out of their homes after 8:00 PM," the Minister stated.
?Attack on Appeasement Politics
Furthering her critique, Annpurna Devi noted that Bengal was once renowned for its intellectual prowess and visionary messages, but it has now been reduced to a hub of appeasement politics. She also referenced the 'Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam', pointing out that the women of the country will never forget how opposition parties behaved in Parliament during its discussion.
?Call for Political Change
Taking a swipe at the opposition alliance, she said:
"The people of the I.N.D.I.A. bloc have insulted women. When they lacked the majority, they showed contempt for Nari Shakti (woman power) by thumping desks in protest. These people only want to promote dynastic politics and appeasement. The people of Bengal have now made up their minds to bring a BJP government to power."
?Conclusion
Annpurna Devi concluded by stating that the citizens of Bengal are fed up with the 'Gunda Raj' of the Mamata government, and a political transformation is now inevitable.
